As part of the Library Renovation Project in December of 2003, the Middletown Public Library was proud to display a new area in the Library dedicated to local history. The room became known as the “Rhode Island Room” and became a great source of information for many library patrons and visitors from all over the world.
In September of 2009, the room formerly known as the “Rhode Island Room” was dedicated and renamed in honor of Evelyn LeDoux in recognition of her 44 years of service to the Library and to the Town of Middletown. The Library Board of Trustees along with support from the Friends, the Town Council, the Historical Society, Library Staff, and friends and family of Evelyn, gathered to honor her on her special day.
Best wishes to Evelyn.
